Overview

This collection was developed for the Warner Bros. Studio Tour Hollywood store in collaboration with Scott Patterson. The project included packaging layouts for a range of Gilmore Girls-themed products, including coffee, tea, jams, honey, hot chocolate, maple syrup, and pancake mix. Using official Gilmore Girls logos and approved brand assets, the designs were built to feel recognizable to fans while still functioning as polished, shelf-ready retail packaging.

Challenge

One identity, run across coffee bags, tea pouches, jars, and bottles. Every format had its own die, label area, and print requirement, and every color was specced to Pantone for print.

All of it built from approved assets, without the collection going repetitive across the range.

Most of the range borrows a Stars Hollow storefront: Luke's, the Soda Shoppe, the Dragonfly Inn. The seasonal blends had none to borrow.

Approach

Every package runs the same architecture: the Gilmore Girls script across the top, a framed badge or illustration in the middle, then the product name and the print details stacked in one block below. Only the proportions change, scaled to each die, so a tea pouch and a honey jar read as the same line.

The fronts identify the product and the backs carry the scene: a painted storefront, a town event, a quote from Lorelai. Where a blend had no storefront to borrow, props from the show stand in.

Outcome

The collection shipped and went on sale at the Warner Bros. Studio Tour Hollywood store, covering coffee, tea, jams, honey, hot chocolate, maple syrup, and pancake mix across five packaging formats.
