Hi, I'm Patti Milton, a designer and animator with a background in film and TV.

I've loved drawing and storytelling for as long as I can remember, and I've built my career on both. I started out as a graphic designer, and design has been the foundation of my work ever since.

Animation jobs were scarce where I lived, so eventually I moved to California and built a career in the industry, working in previs and postvis on productions including Marvel's Hawkeye and Lucasfilm's Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Design and animation have always shaped each other in my work. Previs taught me to make a shot read in seconds. Postvis adds CG elements to filmed footage and matches things like color and light. Both carry into my design work, where a piece needs to communicate quickly and feel cohesive.

Recent projects include work for Warner Bros. Studio Tour Hollywood, Scotty P's Big Mug Coffee, and Bluebell Hollow Studio.

Animation

I animate for film and TV across previs, postvis, and final animation. I block shots, time action, and bring characters and creatures to life, from the first rough pass to the finished frame. It's fast, collaborative, story-first work, and it's where I learned to think cinematically.

Graphic Design

I design for branding, social, and consumer products. Whether it's a product on a store shelf, artwork on a jacket, or a post in a busy feed, the design has to catch the eye fast and stay true to the brand. I'm drawn to expressive characters, bold color, and designs that carry across a whole product line.

Visual Development

Setting the look and feel. From concept and visual development to the finishing details, I shape the visual direction of a project so every choice supports the story and carries a bit of character. It's where design thinking and animation instincts meet.

Collaborative and clear. I ask for all the details I need upfront and keep you in the loop with regular check-ins and honest feedback. I sweat the details so you don't have to.

Working across film, 3D, and design means I think in motion and story, not just static frames. I'm used to tight turnarounds where quality and speed both matter.

Nail the concept and the layout before polish so I'm not wasting time on the wrong idea. I work fast because I plan, not because I cut corners. I'll flag an issue early when something needs to flex.

Anything with a story to tell and a reason to make people feel something. That could be design or animation. Anything where personality gets to lead.
