Hawkeye and Obi-Wan Kenobi Jackets on Models

The Apparel is Strong with This One

This project features production apparel I created for two Disney+ series I worked on as a Previs and Postvis artist: Hawkeye and Obi-Wan Kenobi. The designs were developed as crew gift apparel to commemorate the completion of each show. Both pieces were selected by the studio as winning designs and produced for the production crew, making the work both a personal contribution to the shows and a functional piece of show-branded merchandise.

The process

Goals

The goal was to create memorable crew apparel that celebrated the completion of each production while feeling specific to the show it represented. Each design needed to work as wearable merchandise, feel connected to the visual identity of the series, and appeal to the artists and crew members who helped bring the shows to life.

Challenges

The main challenge was creating designs that felt distinctive, production-appropriate, and wearable while still representing well-known entertainment properties. Each piece needed to balance show recognition with clean apparel design, making sure the artwork, typography, scale, and placement worked on the actual garment. The designs also had to feel polished enough to stand out among other submissions and be selected for final production.

Approach

I designed each apparel piece around the tone and visual world of its series. For Hawkeye, the design leaned into a playful crew identity with a bold purple palette and character-focused back graphic. For Obi-Wan Kenobi, the design used a more cinematic composition with a restrained color palette, silhouetted imagery, and a stronger sense of atmosphere. Each concept was mocked up across the front and back of the garment to show how the final product would function as a complete production apparel piece.
